JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Security Supervisor will be responsible for the effective supervision, coordination and management of security operations and personnel. The successful candidate will ensure that all sites are adequately staffed, security procedures are followed, incidents are managed and reported, and client service standards are maintained.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
Valid PSIRA Grade A certificate and registration.
Valid South African driver's licence.
Valid handgun competency certificate, where applicable to authorised duties.
Valid shotgun competency certificate, where applicable to authorised duties.
All firearm-related duties must be performed strictly in accordance with applicable law, licensing requirements, company policies and authorised procedures.
Minimum Grade 12 / Matric is advantageous.
Proven experience in a senior security supervisory role.
Strong leadership, communication and people-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple security team.
Good report-writing, administrative and computer skills.
Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
Strong knowledge of security procedures, incident management and access-control operations.
Professional appearance, integrity, discipline and reliability.
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise, manage and support security officers across assigned site.
Conduct regular site visits, inspections and operational checks.
Ensure all security personnel are properly deployed, briefed and performing their duties.
Monitor attendance, punctuality, uniforms, equipment and overall staff performance.
Conduct staff briefings, toolbox talks and operational meetings.
Address disciplinary matters and report misconduct in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure compliance with site-specific instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and company policies.
Investigate security incidents, compile reports and submit findings to management.
Liaise with clients regarding operational concerns, incidents and service delivery.
Identify security risks and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
Coordinate emergency responses and ensure proper escalation of incidents.
Maintain accurate occurrence, incident and operational records.
Assist with staff training, mentoring and performance improvement.
Ensure company vehicles and authorised equipment are inspected and used responsibly.
Conduct handovers and communicate important operational information to management and site personnel.
Assist the Operations Manager with staffing, deployment and general operational planning.
Maintain confidentiality and protect company and client information.

Tactical Response Officers
Canyon Protection Services is seeking two professional, highly disciplined and physically fit Tactical Response Officers to join our security operations team.
Position Purpose
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing rapid response, high-visibility security, incident management, patrol services and operational support to protect clients, personnel and property.
Minimum Requirements:
PSIRA registration and training certifications — preferably Grade C.
Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification.
2-3 years’ experience in Tactical Unit, Anti-Poaching, CIT and Close Protection.
Valid South African ID with No criminal record.
Valid driver's license is required.
Relevant firearm competency and business-purpose for Handgun, Shotgun and Rifle documentations are required for the specific operational role, together with applicable accredited training documentation.
Valid Regulation 21 is required with Armed response/reaction or tactical security training certificates.
Previous experience in armed response, tactical security, reaction services or high-risk security operations will be advantageous.
Medically Fit, good eyesight and no heart condition for demanding operational duties.
Ability to remain calm, professional and decisive under pressure.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong observation, reporting and situational-awareness skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Willingness to work rotating shifts and be deployed according to operational requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to security alarms, emergencies and operational incidents.
Conduct visible patrols and proactive security operations within assigned areas.
Assess and manage security incidents in accordance with company procedures and applicable law.
Maintain communication with the Control Room, supervisors, clients and relevant emergency services.
Protect clients, employees, visitors, property and other assigned assets.
Assist with access control, searches, escorts and other authorized security operations.
Identify and report suspicious activity, security risks and emerging threats.
Complete accurate occurrence books, incident reports and other required documentation.
Inspect and maintain issued equipment and immediately report defects or losses.
Work shifts, weekends, public holidays and overtime when operationally required.
Maintain a professional appearance, high standard of discipline and excellent client service.
Attend regular operational, fitness and proficiency assessments and training.

You will provide essential administrative support across our operations, stepping in at different sites and teams to cover leave, peak periods, staff shortages, or special projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide professional administrative support including reception duties, correspondence, filing, and data entry
